Comparing On-Premise vs. Azure Architectures

Here is a table that compares some architecture components of a  traditional application (Microsoft technology stack) with that of an Azure application.  The point of this exercise is to map the components of your on-premise application into the component that would exist in the cloud.  (Click on the image for a bigger and better view.)

This of course isn’t an exhaustive list, but I think it hits on several of the major areas.  Look for future posts that expand into some of these individual areas.
